Professor Villa is an economist whose primary interests are Macro and Microeconomics, Economics of Crime and Conflict, and Development Economics. He has a Ph D in economics from Boston University (2006) and is currently a sessional instructor in the School of Business and Economics at the University of Winnipeg, Manitoba-Canada. He is also an Adjunct Researcher at the International School of Economics and Business Administration at Universidad de La Sabana, Chía – Colombia.
