​I am currently Executive Managing Director and Head of Economic Research at Corficolombiana. Previously I worked at Universidad de los Andes where I teach Advanced Macroeconomics and Macro-Finance at the Masters and PhD Level. I was appointed as coordinator of the Commission of Capital Markets in Colombia (Misión del Mercado de Capitales) in October 2018 and left the Commission in February 2019. Before joining Los Andes I was at HEC Paris where I taught Global Economics in the MBA program. I received a PhD in Economics from UCLA in 2011. My Research Interests are on the fields of: Macroeconomics, International Economics, Asset Pricing and Monetary Policy. Before finishing the PhD program I spent some time as invited researcher at the Federal Reserve of St. Louis. I also worked at Citibank Colombia in the Treasury Desk, at the National Association of Financial Institutions (ANIF) and was the Head Economist of Banco Santander Colombia. My working experience also includes strategy and applied macroeconomic research for the Fixed Income team of Santander Investment New York and consulting work for the Latin American Reserve Fund, and more recently for Bancolombia and ACH Colombia
