This article describes the integration process of the Nord Pool's electrical market, in addition to establishing some reflections on this experience, which could be important for regions that are undergoing the same process, as is the case of the Andean Community Nations -CAN-. Initially, this paper alludes to the theory that establishes the foundations for the exchange of goods and services and the economic principles that justify market integration. It finally concentrates on the Nord pool's experience, examining the porcess and its results.
